Hey redrain ! Great to see the LDSO crew is still alive, kicking and data corruption-free. The reworked UI and cut-scene fixes are truly impressive. I'll be happy to give KAM 1.2 a spin, and test 21:9 resolutions this time around ;) Thanks, and I'll do my best to accommodate Eyefinty/Surround and U... |

So, long time no post. :) Just wanted to drop in and say: Yes, I'm aware of TRON 2.0 being re-released on Steam. (And who knows, it might still show up at GOG as well.) I've been working on Killer App Mod v1.2 all this time, since I last posted here. It comes with a laundry list of huge improvements... |

EDIT: Never mind. While the game will automatically load NOLFDLL.REZ, it loads it in the wrong order. It needs to be loaded last in order to take effect. So the commandline has to be used. |

In a way I guess I'm glad I didn't start on a widescreen mod for NOLF 1, then. Wish you luck lazyhealer, and look forward to the results of your work. :) There's now a NOLF 2 widescreen mod, too. But Ura's NOLF 1 widescreen mod only supported 16:10 and didn't fix the interface. Don't know if his NOL... |

So I've been working on trying to implement Eyefinity/Surround support, and think I may be having some degree of success. Though it's still not there yet. Also, I can't really test these changes to see if they're actually working as expected, because I only have one monitor. But before I go any furt... |

Well, I think I've fixed the hit detection in the System Memory screen (where you work with subroutines). It was most noticeable in 16:9 resolutions. This fix is planned to be implemented in the next version 1.2 of the mod. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orpFkYH50O4 I also managed to make a change s... |

There's a PC version. In fact, there's even a Collector's Edition on PC which is a bit surprising. Usually companies like EA skip the CE on PC when doing multi-platform releases. I'll wait until after the game is released and read what people think of it, before considering a purchase. The original ... |

How did I miss this topic before? I'd love to see a new company that focuses on PC exclusives. Sure, it can be a tough market if you're niche and releasing on only one platform. But I still think it's possible to be successful. The best example of an existing company with the same goals, that I can ... |

I honestly didn't expect to win the Deus Ex competition. There were so many other comments, and my understanding was that only rated comments would win. So imagine my surprise when I was told I'd won. Sweet! Thanks for the New Year's gift. :D |

Did you take a look at the troubleshooting guide I mentioned a couple of posts back, C.G.B.?
There's a section that talks about widescreen, and how you might be able to fix it if you're having problems. |

I actually work with Disney Interactive, and professional pride compels me to show some off a few of the positive reviews we've been getting for TRON: Evolution for balance :) CTV, for instance, compared it to Arkham Asylum and called it "the best game of the year": http://www.krisabel.ctv.ca/post/... |

So I'm wondering why this hasn't been listed as a confirmed solution yet, nor mentioned at all in the main Tron 2.0 entry in the Games list? With the TRON Evolution game out and the movie sequel due shortly, a lot of people will probably be revisiting Tron 2.0 and looking for a way to play it in wid... |

I did some initial investigation into Evolution's .ini files here, but it's far from comprehensive. Haven't had time yet to thoroughly examine them. |

How do I give the game Admin privileges? Do I have to reinstall the game?Nope, no need to re-install. Right click the shortcut icon for Contract JACK in your start menu, task bar, or desktop. Click the Compatibility tab. You should see a checkbox labelled "Run this program as an administrator". Put... |

There's supposed to be a display.cfg file, and if there isn't then something is wrong. It might be because you're running the game in Vista/7 without giving the game Administrator privileges. If you don't do that, the game will not create/write out changes made to the game's settings. As for how to ... |

The short answer is: yes, you lose proper widescreen support if you disable the mod. The long answer is: depending on how you disable it, you can maintain partially correct widescreen. If you use the game launcher and click the Custom button, then remove the X from the checkbox beside the word "Reta... |

It's not possible to play on "normal" multiplayer servers with this mod, is it? That's correct. Is it possible to play any multiplayer at all? It is, but everyone else you are playing against must also be using the mod. This includes both the server and the clients. Mind you, the mod was designed s... |

I'm afraid there's no solution for this until the entire UI gets somehow modded for widescreen :(
I was hoping someone else would pick up on my solution for TRON 2.0 and apply it to the NOLF games. Seems I might have to do it myself? |

That patch doesn't fix the interface or menus, though. In fact, it doesn't work any better than simply using the undocumented console commands I mentioned in another topic. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=18452 Since the NOLF1 cutscenes are locked to the same FOV as t... |

First off, just to re-iterate: the mod was not created with Surround/Eyefinity support in mind. The fact that it works to any degree at all is a (pleasant) surprise. I know Eyefinity is mentioned on the main page of this site, but the mod doesn't officially support it. Perhaps in the next version I ... |
