Plugged in the HP via Display port
Since the Dell 2408 has a display port connector (or am I wrong?), maybe it is a good idea to connect the HP via DVI and flash the DVI EDID of the HP? |

I happen to work for hp and have requested an updated firmware for the monitor, but I'm not holding my breath. I've also had a replacement panel from hp, manufactured in Feb 2010 so bang up to date, and it has the same crap EDID data. I suspect the ATI drivers look at the actual EDID on the monitor... |

My Eyefinity Bezel Management now works! Thx! I did a slightly different way: First I used Phoenix EDID Viewer. Read out the Monitor's EDID info from Registry! Click edit, adjust screen size to your needs, save as .dat. Then go to MonInfo, load the .dat, Create .INF and finally install the .inf dri... |

I finally decided it was worth the risk, and it was! Works perfectly TY!
I am glad somebody else was willing to take the risk and actually made it work :rockout.
Did you run into any other problems that other people might help, like how to remove the readonly flag from your monitor EDID's? |

Thanks for the guide! One question tho: My side monitor is 21.7", would forcing the EDID to make it 22" be a greater risk? As you can read in the first post, I also increased the size in the EDID of my Samsungs from 24" to 25.3". There is no additional risk in doing this. That doesn't mean this pro... |

I'm running 1 2407WFP (EDID says 52 x 33cm) and 2 2408WFP's (EDID says 52 x 32cm). They are both the same size, rez, and dpi. I ran into a problem with PowerStrip when trying to update the 2407's EDID where it tells me it can't find any EDIDs to write. "An EDID EEPROM was not detected on the select... |

I also do not understand this restriction. For some reason, the ATI driver developers decided to determine the width of the bezels in a measurable format such as centimeters by using the EDID information in combination with what the user defines in the triangle setup screen. Why does the driver need... |

Ok I've been posting in that Rage3D thread and it looks like those of us with non-identical monitors are going to struggle at the moment. Mine have just a slightly different size, which it seems is enough to cause the bezel compensation malarkly a problem... HP LP2475w --- Screen size................. |

Somebody on amazon, wrote the following about passive adapters (http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-001B-UltraAV-DisplayPort-Adapter/dp/B001CXXD2Q/ref=pd_cp_e_3): I bought this to run 3 monitors on an ATI 5770. I thought I could use this because it says right on the package "Active Technology" and I ... |

The leaked 10.3 press drivers contain some great functionality to make Eyefinity actually usable - bezel compensation. I was really looking forward to this functionality, and installed the drivers immediately after they leaked. Unfortunately, the menu option to configure bezel compensation was unava... |
