Great job Dopefish :D My problem is I can only see a lovely scrunched up image on one of my 3 screens (3x1920x1200, HD5870). The game isn't giving me the option to go above 1920x1200 so I'm stuck in one screen. Realise I'm probably being very dense, but how do I get the game to release the higher r...

@ITSANSS

Everyone has the same MP mouse issue using the widescreen fixer. Just press "Enter" when you highlight a button.

I don't get what the problem is with the GRID menus. They look fine to me in surround.

they fixed it in one of the patches. If your GRID is not updated with the latest patch the menu will be super zoomed in.

Criterion made burnout paradise which even had UI options for triple monitors, so it's not surprising that eyefinity works for hot pursuit. I was a big fan of burnout paradise, so if it's got any resemblance, chances are I'll like hot pursuit.

The 5970 is on a single PCB but it has 2 gpu's so it's a crossfire card which would be affected by everything that crossfired cards would. There's a few things you need to ask yourself before doing this upgrade: 1) What is your budget? You linked a i7 950 which is insanely expensive. I don't know ab...

A 5970 is a crossfire card. It's not a worthwhile upgrade to a single 5870. If you're forced to use a single card for whatever reason, you'll actually end up getting less performance since a 5970 is two underclocked 5870's. The 6900's are supposed to come out soon. I don't think there's a hard date.

It seems that at the high resolutions of 3 monitor gaming, the gpu becomes the bottleneck mainly. Upgrading to a i7 probably won't get you much unless it's a game that specifically demands a lot of CPU power. I'd wait for the 6900's to come out and see how good they are. I have a crossfire setup and...

i´m wondering what are your fps in blackops ? mine are between 30-90fps @5760x1200 with 2xgtx480 and an i7 4ghz :? btw my cutscene´s are on the left monitor as well I have 2x 5870's @ 5760x1080 4xAA everything maxed and it's usually solid 50+ fps. I'd say the average is 60ish. The game's performanc...

[quote]This is sweet and all, but what would be amazing is if you found a way to center the HUD on the center screen. If you use Widescreen Fixer the HUD will be centered. Does the widescreen fixer also make it so the 2D elements aren't stretched? EDIT: Just tried it... and answered my own question...

I am having some issues getting this to work, but think it's on my end. I'm running 2 GTX 470's in Surround at 6050x1080 (bezel compensation) on 3 AW2310 120hz monitors. I start up the fixer and it detects Black Ops running but when I go into the game's graphic settings the highest resolution I can...

I will also confirm that it works. Is there anyway to fix the stretching of the 2D elements / HUD? Or are we stuck like this... either way, the game's 100% playable with triple wide though. I'm running at 5760x1080 4xAA everything maxed and so far the graphics have not impressed me. BC2 definitely l...

They started doing the bans because the writers of the third party program were charging for their program. They want to have all their legal bases covered when it comes to making money off of their games.

Nice review. I noticed that the 6870 performs better than the 5870 in crossfire at 5760x1080... that's very nice to see. I'm really curious about single card 6970 (or w/e they're going to be calling it) performance now. However, you mentioned that the 5870/5850 used the 10.8 drivers. I think the 10....

I imagine this is what he's talking about: It started happening to me some time after I got my 5870 last year. It's been like that for a while. I googled it once to find a solution but I think in one of the drivers the option got broken. Don't remember if I found a solution or not since I didn't car...

Not everyone that writes about SLI writes about the GTX 480. A LOT of people are using GTX 460 SLI at the moment, I havent heard of a single person detailing stuttering, the problems with FPS do exist with the 460 SLI at high resolution. Correct me if I am wrong but SLI uses SFR or AFR, I believe t...

[quote]That said, it's not something that can be fixed by switching to a different multi-gpu setup. I haven't read much about SLI micro-stutter for a long time That's because right now GTX 480 SLI scales well and gives good performance overall so it's less noticeable. But microstutter does exist. I...
