Very nice review. WSGF and [H] are pretty much where it's at for multimonitor benches.

Interesting though that the 6990 was slightly faster than the 6970 xfire on here, but it's the opposite on [H].

Anyone tried multi monitors yet? I can't download big files during the day... share the internet with 3 other guys and it's slow enough as it is.

Wow... Before people spaz out about the list: 1) It was voted on. So no, the author didn't make anything biased or throw anything in for whatever reason. 2) Just because it doesn't reflect your own personal top 50 list doesn't make it 'false' or anything. It's just a top 50 list by vote. Don't overa...

Hmm, so it was voted on.

I just did a quick scan for Dante. He made the list, I'm happy.

EDIT: Just saw Naruto. I puked a little bit.

This is making its rounds on the internet today, but IRC they announced that GH6 (the most recent one) was going to be their last before it even released?

AMD may be a bit further along the road in terms of features for Eyefinity, but for me presonally, the lack of Crossfire support in windowed gaming (I run WoW in windowed mode for multiboxing) was a deal-breaker. I'm not saying that this makes Nvidia the better vendor, only that it makes them the b...

Try setting it to windowed mode first and see if you can move it around and get it visible.

:doh 16x9 is the largest aspect ratio the game supports. 48x9 isn't supported for a 3x1 setup (which a lot of us have). 3x3 would preserve the 16x9 aspect ratio which would supposedly work without any modification in sc2. With 9 monitors you'd have a visible area of 5760x3240 vs 1 monitor of 1920x1...

Sadly the SC2 community is vapidly against the multi-monitor support. They think it's cheating. I think the only way to show them they are stupid for the way they setup the resolution lock is to post lots of 3x3 monitor matrix shots of the game showing them how dumb locking the game at 16x9 aspect ...

It's retarded because they are dumb enough to lock the visibility based on an aspect ratio. 3 screens of visibility is an "unfair advantage", but 9 screens... that is working as intended. 5760 x 3240 is a crazy amount of visibility. You could probably see the entire map at that res. I don't underst...

Regardless, my biggest gripe with nVidia Surround isn't the need for two cards, or anything like that... all I want is the ability to swap from Surround to Extended Desktop without navigating through menu after menu. Profiles and Hotkey swapping, in other words. Interesting, I always thought my roo...

[quote]yes it would work.

lol. so they will ban you for a 3x1 setup... but go for a 3x3 and it's all fair.
Sigh, blizzard is retarded.

Why is that retarded? A 3x3 setup has the same aspect as a single monitor so you'd see the same amount as a single monitor as opposed to 3x1.

I never use vsync so that's something I really couldn't care less about. In terms of flexibility, since I have DP monitors already, ATI is more flexible since I don't need 2 cards. That said, it'd be great if 2 cards (SLI / xfire) worked as flawlessly as a single card for ALL games and not just the ...

Oh, well I hardcoded 73 in the settings.ini file with the calculator. Is there a way to reset it to automatically scale? That's just the VFOV. Just set it to whatever you feel is right for you. The HFOV automatically scales with aspect. So in other words, the value you set in the ini file shouldn't...

I've sunk a good bit of time into this beta. Currently sitting at lvl 20, just got my mount, have done tons of battlegrounds, and done some instance runs of the first instance of the Guardian side, "Realm of the Fae." It works in surround and eyefinity. The engine is certainly not source. The guys used XNA to make it. I can't even tell if the world is really 3D. The perspective is fixed so I wouldn't be surprised if everything were simply 2D sprites (think Deathspank type sprites). Another indication of this is t...

Strange, my roommate tested it on a single monitor (since you can't run surround without SLI on...), and SLI showed no scaling whatsoever. He has the latest drivers.
