I'm running at 5760x1080 and I'm getting the prompts at 1.7 fov.

It's a tad fisheye now and I feel like I'm just slightly too far back from my character.

You mean the gtx 400 series right? Just something to consider: GTX 480/470 will require SLI for triple wide. One GTX 480 uses more power than a 5970 with the 470 close behind. nVidia Surround drivers haven't been released yet (and the cards haven't even hit retail for that matter). The minimum card ...

Good review. I'm not too worried about 2 GB for now. My only conceivable upgrade is dropping a 2nd 5870 into my rig.

maybe this deserves its own thread... but since we're talking about xfire in this thread, I just wanted to add that the xfire stuttering in eyefinity might have to do with mobos that use two x8 PCI-E slots when doing crossfire. Could this be the problem?

"Monitor Screen Mode Enabled"

Now why can't AAA games get this much right? MnB was one of my favorite single player games of all time (2nd only to Oblivion)... and Warband looks to be amazing in triplewide. :D

I havent had alot of problems using eyefintiy and 1 card but sometimes the performance hit sucks. I'm with you on this. Just added a second 5870 the other day and with eyefinity its certainly a mixed bag. Wanting to run Bad Company 2 at higher settings was my motivation and unfortunately while the ...

I have been running two 5870 Eyefinity6 cards in CFX just fine with the 10.3 Preview and 10.3a drivers. Ran 3x1 and 3x2 monitor setups. Overall nice performance increases. Can't speak to any other configurations.

Will you have benches of 2x 1 GB 5870's ?

On a single screen I can have everything maxed at 1920x1080... except for tessellation. Of the things I could actually change (80% aren't toggleable, wtf), tessellation was the biggest hit to FPS. At 5760x1080 however, I had to literally set everything to "normal" in dx9 mode to get playable frames....

I think anytime there's a fixed camera it becomes pillarboxed in surround. There are a few acrobatic sequences in the dungeons where they fix the camera for you and it becomes pillarboxed. They're very rare though.

I'm taken with the idea of a 24" monitor but I don't have the founds for three of them. Would this be workable? [1680x1050] + [1920x1080] + [1680x1050] I would presume (from what I've read here) that eyefinity supports this and I would ensure the 24" has display port to avoid using dongles. Finally...

For Dirt 2 you should probably turn AA completely off (2xAA just isn't worth it...). Sampling at almost 9 megapixels has got to be incredibly stressful on the card.

I have 3 TN panels and the side viewing is fine in landscape.

The viewing angle becomes noticeable in portrait mode - which I never use.

Is your game up-to-date ? Patch v1.1 fixed the menus in Surround. Latest version is 1.3.

Doh! I hadn't played it in so long I forgot about patching. Steam has spoiled me, and alas this wasn't a steam game for me.

If the combination of my 512 mb 8800 gt and the videocard I posted a link to would not be sufficient could someone post a link to a card that would be? If at all possible under $200. Thanks for the help so far guys. I don't think there's a video card under $200 that can run triple head reasonably w...

I just finished the game in eyefinity, and it was amazing. I purposely didn't read too much about the actual game (DRM aside), and was pleasantly surprised with the new additions. The DRM affected me for about 2 hours one day when my ISP cut out due to a storm... Yea, the cutscenes are still 16:9, b...

Go to the settings.ini file under my documents/games/BFBC2 (or something similar...) change dxversion = AUTO to dxversion = 9. Just a note... dx9 does provide a performance boost (pretty significant too) over dx10 / dx11, but the shadows are noticeably worse for me. That said, I think I'm sticking w...
