This seems to be caused by trying to many versions of the related files. So if you find CTD's on the game start, you could check this. It seems to me that there was something weird going on with your install of Skyrim. Because as far as I know, if you have no mods installed the only file you should...

[quote]is it just me or is steam re-enabling the "keep this game up-to date" option on skyrim. I know for a fact I've disabled it twice already... yet low and behold this morning... it's turn on again and the game patched to 1.3. not just you, bud. I wanted to play some Skyrim just now. Launched it...

What Eyefinity has done for me is open me up to the world of triple monitor computing. While playing games with an increased FOV is fantastic and I just can't go back, the possibilities it has also opened up for general desktop use makes it a winner hands down. Full kudos for AMD/ATi for pushing the...

Ok well so much for the Gigabyte On/Off idea. I did a bit more research and discovered that it will only work with known devices and therefore requires the USB device to be detectable in Windows. Only way it would work is if someone could write their own program to make use of this chip so you could...

I wonder if Gigabyte's USB On/Off Charge feature they have on their newer boards would help with any underpower issues? I have a Gigabyte board with this feature, but I've never thought to look into it let alone use it before I saw this thread. I'll be getting an Active DP - DVI Adaptor next week as...

Edit: I think I just jinxed it. lol. I did a reboot just to check, and it did it again. :( It's weird, it's like the driver update for a while either resolves the issue or reduces the occurance, then slowly it gets worse again. Like I said, previous drivers appeared to have reduced the occurance, b...

Happy to report that these 10.4 drivers appear to have solved the DP>VGA issue, where the display on the adaptor would require unplugging/plugging in order for the monitor to be detected correctly (otherwise it would get locked at 640x480). I've only installed these drivers the other day, but alread...

Sometimes the mouse cursor will get garbled only on the center display. Hasn't happened for a few months but as soon as I started to install the various iterations of the 10.4 preview drivers it started happening again, randomly, and fixes itself, randomly. I've noticed the same thing here with my ...

I have to do this pretty much every boot. Sometimes it will be at 640x480, othertimes it goes completely blank. Not sure if there's a permanent fix for it, but some catalyst releases have been better than others in reducing the occurance. Annoying, but I put it with it. It's still not a bad option f...

I'm definately liking these 10.1 drivers more and more. This latest hotfix has also resolved the missing cursor issue I was experiencing like others. I notice in general too, the Displayport seems to be a little more stable. I've got the DP to VGA adaptor, and normally at every start up of Windows I...

Is this normal for ATi? I'm pretty new to ATi, had Nvidia for many years until Eyefinity made me switch. It appears that after every driver release, there's always a hotfix quickly following. Not sure if it's a good thing (they get on top of issues quickly) or a bad thing (they push releases out too...
