I'd get crazy to have 2 monitors and then a 3rd one with a different screen / color / bezel / size / etc.. Yea I know what you mean but I will wait for the next generation of monitors before getting three new matched ones. They will for sure have thinner bezels, be slimmer and look better than what ... |

I was facing the same situation as you. I have the same Powercolor card as well (see my specs in sig). I have decided that my HD5850 will struggle if it has to drive 3 HD screens so Im just going to add another 1050 X 1680 screen to my setup. Some numbers I had think about: Total pixels 3x1920x1080 ... |

I would get 3 new 23 inch 1080p monitors. I would really like to do that but I have to be realistic :( My graphics card will struggle to feed 3 HD screens, I have made the decision to just get the Dell. Im quite happy to be gaming at 1050 X 1680 rez, 2 screens have made a huge difference and a third... |

What inputs do the philips and dell monitor have? If they do not have a display-port input, then you may need to get an adaptor to vga/dvi (the dvi needs to be an "active" adaptor). Philips monitor - 1 X VGA, 1 X DVI Dell monitor - 1 X VGA, 1 X DVI (with HDCP) I have heard that many people with Eyef... |

I wonder if any of you good people face a similar decision...I could do with some advice on how to proceed as this is *eating my brain* and I just want to get it sorted in the next week! I want a 3-display Eyefinity setup. I already have 2 excellent 20" Philips monitors (1050 X 1680). These ... |

Tamlin - just wanted to confirm something if you dont mind!! :D Your choices will be "stretch horizontally" Is this a span or just a stretch? I was wondering if this was a "true" span or just a stretch of the window. Does the taskbar run across the bottoms of both screens (Start button will be on th... |

Yes it can. Its done through displays manager in CCC. Press f1 for help on the different modes when you have selected displays manager. Your choices will be "stretch horizontally" and "stretch vertically".
Thanks Tamlin |

Thanks Mergatroid I will check out SoftTH - at first glance it seems I need 2 graphics cards to get it to work? Will definetly have a look although I can sense that I will probably end up binning Vista and going back to XP.
Will my ATI card give H-SPAN in XP? :) |
