I was wondering if there is such a thing available here in the forum or somewhere else because I would be interested in learning how to do these hacks myself. My widescreen plasma has rectangular pixels but a native resolution of 1024x768 so the games played at the native res. look stretched. I know...

Would it be possible to use the Assassin's Creed hack with Silent Hill Homecoming to get rid of the black bars?

Hi guys, it's been more than a week since I last posted here and was wondering if anyone made any progress. This is the only place one can ask for help on this matter on internet and that's why I insist.

Feel free to contact me through PMs.

Cheers.

Tried running a non-native res. to counter in the opposite way? I've never used a plasma, I guess it depends how useful the onboard scaler is. Yep, tried 1360x768 but there is a noticeable loss in quality compared to the native res (1280x720 or any other resolution with 720 vertical pixels look wor...

if any/all of those have something like an in-game zoom of some type, sniper rifle or other wise. You can probably use that with a generic memory tool like cheat engine, example, fov is 90 regular and put to 40 for 'zoom effect', once you isolate where that value is, you can set whatever you want. ...

I know this may sound confusing but I'm not asking for a proper widescreen support of the games I posted (Crysis / Crysis Warhead, Gears of War and Pure) because I know they already support it, I just want a hack to be able to gain horizontal FOV in those games when playing at 1024x768 to fix the s...

[quote][quote]$100 to the first person who makes Sam & Max Hit the Road run in 1920x1200 Hor+ widescreen. What's wrong with you? What kind of "insider" makes fun of other users? It takes a special kind of person to see my comment as a personal insult. Of course... Mind your own business please and,...

I see. I didn't read the first post in detail enough. I do make a Widescreen Fixer app that lets you select various aspect-ratios, but it's only for specific games. http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/ I can look into other games, but there's no guarantee I can do anything. Thanks; any effort is welco...

Check Here first. Some of them already support widescreen. Crysis does natively. And we've got fixes for surround support too. Not sure what else you need. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Essential_Games_List Thanks for replying skeeder but did you read my first post? What I'm a...

I have a 16:9 plasma TV with a 1024x768 (4:3) native resolution that has rectangular pixels; many games offer the option to gain horizontal FOV so the picture is not stretched but many others don't. I've tried contacting Racer_S (over here and on his forums at Tocaedit) because he did paid FOV hacks...

^ Yeah, I know what you mean but I'm not asking for widescreen support for any given game that doesn't support it natively (that's what you guys do here and I really appreciate it). What I ask is to be able to add horizontal FOV to a 4:3 resolution just to compensate for the rectangular pixels my pl...

^ And would it not be possible to have an utility just to gain horizontal FOV? Because that's the real problem in this case

Those of us with widescreen plasmas that have a native resolution of 1024x768 (rectangular pixels) get a stretched picture when playing games that don't come with an aspect ratio option. Here is an example: Stretched Horizontally PROPER Widescreen (increased horizontal FOV) Recently many games let y...

You can always just run a 16:9 resolution like 1366x768 or higher. Rendering at higher than the display resolution will effectively add extra AA to the game by means of oversampling. Yeah, but I would like to use its native resolution of 1024x768 (you know, things look best at native res). So, ther...

Hey eZ`, thanks for replying. I did check what you said but I ended up using Racer_S' fix for FarCry 2.

Regarding Crysis and Crysis Warhead, is it possible to have a similar fix? I don't think it's available so would it be difficult to create something like it?

Hi eveyone, nice to see you. I just registered on the forum to ask if anyone knew of a method to display the 1024x768 resolution in both Crysis and Crysis Warhead but using a 16:9 aspect ratio. The reason I ask is because I play my games on a widescreen plasma display that has this native resolution...
