WoW will crash with a memory related error saying its requesting 24gb of memory..lol memory leak? WoW is still built on 32 bit code, and they have said in dev chats that they are not planning on rewriting the whole codebase anytime soon. This means that the game engine has hard limits on the memory ...

I have found that the best way to manage your backgrounds is to grab the image or images you want to use, and make them into one massive file that spans the full width/height you need, then select it as the BG and use the 'tile' mode. it will spread it at normal aspect across as much screen as you h...

the way i understand the nvidia 3d tech, the monitor refresh rate has to be 120hz... pretty sure the matrox hardware cannot handle that, so if this bit of news is true they would have to be running the triple screen on-board.

Yep, that's what I was afraid of... Yes the 295 has all the pipes unlocked, but otherwise the chips are 2 normal 260's on one PCB.

I guess I will go with the 285 then. I know ATI has new kit coming out in a week or so, any rumors on when nVidia's next line comes out?

This isn't gaming related, but this is the only place with enough people with experience handling triple head issues :D I have a digital TH2Go, running 3 22" Chimei widescreens @ 5040x1050 on a GTX280. With the 16:10 ratio on each screen, if I watch a movie fullscreened on the center monitor, I get ...

As an on-the-cheap alternative (if your motherboard supports it), consider grabbing a matching 8800 and SLi... the increased resolution of triple-heading makes probably the best use of double cards, IMO. I doubled my framerates in WoW and F.E.A.R. by adding the other card (even after de-overclocking...

Also the most recent beta drivers can be flaky in XP, i had to go back to the 175.16 WHQL drivers to get 5040x1050 working 100%

edit: this may have been because I am running in SLi though...

Original Message from allanstrings ... I recently upgraded my multi-monitor setup to include a DTH2G, and I love it, but one of my monitors cannot handle the 57hz refresh apparently. I have 2 Chimei CMV-221D 22" TN displays that work great, never had a bit of trouble from them and they run at just a...

Admin Update 19-Nov-09: I am working to overhaul the Master Monitor List. Going to stop doing the individual monitor pages, and expand the info on the list itself. I have added a column for 57Hz support. You can see it by clicking on the "Monitors" link in the left nav. KNOWN WORKING AND NOT WORKING...
