...1280x768 should be listed here. Also, were you able to test 1280x800?

Done, and yes, 1280x800 works fine. A nice low res 16:10 res it is too.
Can you take comparison screenshots of an intro video?

Done.

Thanks. I've updated the text to describe menus and background issues a bit more. Please provide more feedback or calculate the grading when you are ready. I could not load the MS Access file to calculate it myself.

For Quake 3 Arena purchased via Steam, the correct config file should be:
SteamSteamAppscommonquake 3 arenamissionpackq3config.cfg
NOT: SteamSteamAppscommonquake 3 arenabaseq3q3config.cfg

It never works for me. Either 1.0 or 1.0b. It works for neither version and I've tried many times. All it does for me is significantly reduces my resolution selection--none of which are the resolution I put in. I think I also needed to follow the instructions written in this forums post... http://w...

Silly me, I should have remembered that too.
You will end up needing 3 things:
1) universal wide screen fix
2) v1.02 no cd crack (carbon version worked for me)
3) kotor2-16x10 or 16x9 hud fix

I just got KOTOR2 to work using the widescreen solution the other day, so it should work. The only thing I can think of is that you have to select KOTOR2 in the game list, then successfully locate the .exe and apply the patch. If you already got that far, I'm not sure what could be going wrong.

I can confirm this issue as I was about to post it myself. The game page http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein needs to be updated with this rather critical 'known issue' Widescreen does work in RTCW as described but the following issues occur: 1) When the ...

GregDuge, again thanks for the great DR. Is the game any fun? You're welcome. The game is not bad. It only cost about $10 so I wasn't expecting too much. The single player campaign is a couple hours of fun, much better when I played again on Hard. The multiplayer is really quite good, when you can ...

One last question - you said that using something under 1024x768 causes problems with the HUD. Does this apply to 1280x720? And if so, can you provide screenshots? All those resolutions are fine, in fact those ones are officially supported. When you force down to 800x600 or lower, a couple of menus...

Does 1280x768 work fine through .ini edit? Yes. Here is a screen shot when I use the following lines in the .ini cvar.displayPhysicalScreenRatio = 15.0/9.0; cvar.fullscreenSizeX = 1280; cvar.fullscreenSizeY = 768; Edit: I've stuck this image in with the review in the ratio section.

For the grade, the game must be an officially supported from the game. Heredid you post a list of supported resolutions, is this what you can select in game without any changes in the ini? If it doesn't than it was a B+? Dunno that for sure. Right. Must admit I'd never heard of '15:9 - 1280x768' as...

... Is 1280x768 an available option in your Windows display properties?... Yes, the monitor I'm testing on has that resolution available in Display Properties. The game just has a selection of common or popular modes listed from within, the rest by config editing. The ReadMe for the rating calculat...

I just realized you might want separate images to copy into the wiki for a page, so here they are:

1680x1050 16:10

The game Battlestar Galactica (Sierra Online, 2007) natively supports widescreen modes configured from within the game. It allows independent setting of ratios: 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and resolutions: 1024x768 1152x864 1280x720 1280x800 1280x960 1280x1024 1440x900 1600x1200 1680x1050 1920x1080 1920x1200 T...
