Well, I just ordered 3x Dell U2211H's that will be here Monday. I also got 2 DVI cables to use for 2 of the monitors. I'm running 2x 6870's in CF, so I'll be needing to connect the miniDP from the 6870 to a monitor as well... I ordered 2 of these (2 just because/in case I wanted/needed a 2nd): http:...

I'm wondering if it's possible to run the side monitors at a lower resolution than the central monitor in Eyefinity. Something like 1/2 or even 1/4 native resolution. I was thinking since most of the time the sides are just for peripheral vision, you could eliminate a lot of the performance hit of E...

Thanks, I saw that on Bensbargains yesterday and place my order for 3 of them. Also got my refund from their Ebay site back today... I will say if you're going to go with Dell Monitors just wait til they have a deal on their official site, their Ebay Store's a pain with Paypal.

Ugghhh... I kind of want to go with the Asus now out of spite... I'm waiting for my paypal verification to go through, so I can order the Dell's at $200 each on Ebay, but I decided to chat with a Dell sales rep from their official site to see if I could get the same deal... He ended up saying that D...

Ok, well I think I've *probably* made up my mind to get 3x Dell U2211h's... Yeah, they're a little smaller than the U2311H, but at $200 a piece, I can give up 1.5"... Plus, their viewable width almost matches my 37" viewable height perfectly, so if AMD decides to officially allow Portrait-Landscape-...

I was/am kinda in the same boat. I purchased my first one early November, and my 2nd one mid November. I can still return them according to Newegg's 60 day policy, but to be honest, I don't think I'm going to right now, even though I'm about to go Eyefinity with 3x 1080p monitors. Sure they'd be fas...

It's a tough call. Do you want bezel compensation?...The monitors will need to be the same for that. :? Really? I didn't know that... I figured as long as they were all the same size, and resolution you could do it... As for whether or not I'd be using it, I don't know yet. It's something I'd have ...

Well, I'm getting to the point I'm probably going to be ordering monitors for Eyefinity in the next 2-7 days or so. I've done quite a bit of research, and have determined with my budget, I have 2 options: 1) Get 3x Asus VH236H's from Newegg. They'd be $160 each shipped, and I could send in for $40 w...

Thoughts on Eyefinity? Well, I haven't had the chance to experience it in person yet, I'm working on it. Depending on my budget/sales of monitors. From the videos and input I've seen, overall it looks great, but still has some issues as DisplayPort is not a standard for many monitor inputs yet, and ...

If you're going to have the money for the 69xx series, wait for that. If not, and you can sell your 5970 for a decent price, it'd be faster, but whether or not it'd be worth it, is up to you. If money's not a huge object, and you want as much horsepower as possible for 3x 1920x1080 screens, waiting ...

The above adaptors should work fine, the adaptors mentioned in the other thread where mostly DualLink DVI active adaptors... the ones posted above are SingleLink DVI active adaptors which have also been certified to work by ATI. I have one of the saphire duallink adaptors myself however this had it...

After seeing this guy's post in the "test solution for flickering" thread, I'm somewhat hesitant to go with the mini DP -> DVI adapter: Since my upgrade to the Gigabyte HD 6870, I've tried the ACCELL ACTIVE Mini DisplayPort to DVI Single Link adapter and cannot even get a screen at all. I've tried w...

Why dont you just get a mini-dp to SL-DVI-D ?

No need for a mini-dp > dp cable. ;)

Because I didn't know they existed, thanks for the info. :D

And you only need one of them for the central monitor, and can use DVI for the two side monitors, correct? One thing that kind of suck is I have 2x 6870's and they've gone to mini Displayport, so I'd have to get a DP -> DVI single link active adapter, and a mini Displayport to Displayport adapter as...

I'm wonder if there are any issues with the active adapters available at this point. I'm thinking of going Eyefinity in the very near future and have not purchased my monitors yet... At this point, I think I've narrowed it down the the Dell U2311H, and the Asus VH236H. It will sort of depend on my b...

Well, I re-installed Painkiller, BoH and patched up to 1.64 and the highest resolution options available in the menu for selection are 1400x1050, and 1440x900... No 1920x1080.

1920x1080 When I originally copied the game over, the native res on the current computer was 1440x900 (laptop), but I never ran the game before using the HDMI output to my 1920x1080 screen, so I don't know why that would even make a difference... And by "copy" I mean I copied the original folders o...
