This might, and I stress might, be technically possible, but it would require a significant amount of work. There's no quick an easy way to do it, you'd have the manually change the coords for every control on every menu as well as resize the art. It's just not worth it for something that's not a si... |

People usually report this because they're not using the no-cd exe. As stated in the UniWS notes, it only works with the no-cd (cracked) exe. Try this before going through the manual method. Info on the specific version you need here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=142540... |

I don't think it's right to classify this as vert- behavior. We don't classify game behavior based on how it behaves without changing anything, we classify behavior based on what can be achieved. E.g. games where the FOV can be changed via config files are considered hor+. Since this game has an adj... |

For popular/cult games, such as Monolith's older titles, if there was a simple solution, like a config file edit, it typically would have been discovered by now. Doesn't mean a solution couldn't be developed/discovered in the future, but it would require some hex hacking or mod programming. However,... |

Someone over on the official forums for the game wrote a neat little config utility that handles changing some things that aren't available in the game menu (it pretty much just automates making the ini tweaks) - including the FOV settings. There's various options to bind it to the movement keys so ... |

I presume someone tried the normal UE3 FOV setting in the config files as opposed to having to bind it to a key right? Does it not work at all, or just get reset by stuff? I just got this game and I get a bit of a headache as a result of the small FOV. It appears to use somewhere around 75° and when... |

Hmm...looks like Aspyr isn't doing too well: http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/12/09/large-layoffs-reported-at-aspyr-media/ Sucks for people to lose their jobs, but I certainly don't have any sympathy for the company. I still condemn them for essentially lying to customers about the travesty that is ... |

The step 2 hex edit in the guide is only for adjusting movie resolution. It's possible something might have gone wrong there. I would suggest starting with a fresh exe, and performing the UniWS step only. If you get the game up and running correctly with that, then you can go on and try step 2 again... |

Played this game on my 360.. was a lot of fun.. wonder if PC version still has the same "feature" where your targeting is based off where the character is pointing instead of the camera? That was a huge annoyance. It's still like that. There weren't any improvements made to the game for the PC vers... |

Hi everyone. New to the forums. Was wondering if I'm able to play Tomb Raider Underworld using 5040x1050 for resolution?
Look two posts above yours. Triple head resolutions are stretched. The max aspect the game supports without stretching is 16:9. |

I am having issues with the HUD showing up in the correct position. I am playing @ 1920x1200. I have copied the 1920x1200 HUD correction files to the 'Override' folder. The resolution and the backgrounds are all showing up correctly, but the HUD it still in the original position. I have even tried ... |

I haven't used an ATI/AMD card in a long time, so unfortunately I can't be much help on how to set it up on that card. However, "video card scaling" in the case refers to resolution scaling. E.g. if you run a resolution smaller than 1366x768 and it's resized to fill your whole screen then the screen... |

Yeah that's out of date. I don't remember where but someone did test TH and it has the problem with missing text. We figured out that the issue is with the way the game's letterboxing works. The letterbox bars (which is where dialog text is displayed) are affected by the aspect ratio. The wider the ... |

Hmm. I'm sure I was able to use UniWS on the Steam version ok, which actually in contrary to what I expected (because Steam executables are usually encrypted rendering UniWS unusable), but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course judging by my forums no one bought the dang thing, so perhaps it wasn't that high profile after all. Heh same here. Among the very few people I've seen discussing the game, I think I'm the only person that actually paid for it... We should also mention for anyone still interested that in ... |
