I have been playing project torque for a month or two now, but single screen only. I gave up on the TH2G a while ago, switched to SoftTH. I can confirm that there's no way to get SoftTH to work with it, because of the draconian cheat blocking software it uses (GameGuard). It simply will not allow a ... |

Its quite simple: set both your monitors to 1280x1024. If you can stand the resulting image, go ahead and get the triplehead. Any problems should become immediately apparent. |

Things that would've been nice to mention were how Windows handles 1 logical monitor (answer: not well), and if there are any programs which can make the experience nicer. For example, you know what would be sweet? If every monitor had its own taskbar, so that when you drag windows to another monit... |

I'm having a VERY annoying issue... If I shut down my PC. Then when I turn it on again the displays do not activate. The PC will boot up but no displays will work. My DTH2G's light is red. The only way I can get it to work is to plug in one of my monitors, start the bootup and then hot swap it to t... |

Ibrin, thanks for your response. Please dont think that I'm trying to attack you or your review. I'm just throwing some (hopefully) constructive criticism out there. I realize you did your best with what you have. I just want WSGF to have a good professional review that really answers people's quest... |

I've been waiting for WSGF to review this thing for a long time. I own a TH2Go analog, and I'm pretty dissatisfied with it because of image problems at 75 or 85 Hz. I run 3 22" CRTs, so thats important to me. You touched on a lot of good points... but I cant help but feel the review is lacking. Plea... |

Yeah, i see that now: 1x HD-15 (analog) for input, 1x DVI-I (digital) for input, 3x DVI-I (digital) for output, 1x USB for power DVI-I are analog or digital. Now the problem is, all the resolutions are listed as 60Hz. If they dont add a 75Hz res (at least) its useless for CRTs, unless you really enj... |

Its not the version of directX that limits the resolution, its the hardware itself. Guys have already run games higher than 4096 on geforce 8800s using softTH. That was on dx9 games (one of the racing ones, LFS i think). Shouldn't be any reason matrox can't do higher resolutions, you just need G80 o... |

James, I hate to break it to ya, but ATI is _Not_ an option for triplehead gaming. You'll regret it bigtime, so dont waste your money. The max rez your card can display on each monitor is 800x600 (thus 2400x600 in surround-speak). Unless you enjoy playing games at such a low rez, plus the blurriness... |

Hehe, i knew this post was gonna be interesting, welcome Brad :) I'm not sure this will work in SLI mode like the TH2G will, because SLI mode disables the secondary monitors. As you said, its likely that nvidia could easily integrate this into their drivers, and probably make SLI work, but I doubt i... |

I just discovered this in my travels: http://www.kegetys.net/SoftTH/ Its basically a hacked direct3d.dll that lets you do triple head without the dedicated matrox hardware. There's some performance penalty of course, due to the need to copy two framebuffers across to system memory. However, this wou... |

I voted that I dont really notice it anymore. Its still there, but when gaming i concentrate on the center, and the surround is just immersion. Depends on the game, i guess. I have CRTs so i get about 2 inch gap between screens. However, I have a solution to make it all go away... Fresnel Lenses. On... |

While this is exciting news, everybody can stop getting their hopes up for crazy high resolutions on a digital TH2Go. To further build on RUS007's statement, Matrox said on their old forum that no video card in existence supports 3D in resolutions higher than 4096 per side. Its a limitation of how G... |
