[quote]Never thought of GRAW. I played the first Rainbow 6 back in the day, but it didn't really draw me in. Vegas isn't really anything like the previous versions, none of the planning and the action feels like its on steroids :o That's what I hated. All that planning crap and following it and suc...

Never thought of GRAW. I played the first Rainbow 6 back in the day, but it didn't really draw me in.

I think my problem is that I'm too addicted to BF2, and I can only play the really horrible bots. I mean, I get in the chopper and I can desimate them on their highest difficulty setting.

So, I work from 7 - 4 and I get off and proceed home. My wife usually works nights, so most of the time, I'm sitting there watching tv, wasting away on the couch. I have some games I play on my PC, but not having the internet at home (I'm writing this from work) I can't play BF2 anymore. I've beaten...

[quote] I'm laying prone and toss a rock on the other side of a hut... the enemies come right at me. The textures always black out on the terrain. I'm running a 2.4ghz AMD, 2 gb ram, 7800gtx and I can't get the damn textures to work right. Try throwing the rocks a bit further ;) And, what patch are...

i bought Far Cry for myself for Christmas, and I've gotten to my breaking point. My life bar is at 1/2 and I have 20+ guys in my way. I was able to sneek around them once and grab a health pack, but trying again won't work. Things I've found annoying are: I'm laying prone and toss a rock on the othe...

Interesting topic. Games have never made me sick nor has motion in general. I'm curious: do those that feel a little off because of games also suffer from motion sickness? Nope. Well, when I was younger, I'd get sick to my stomach reading in a moving car, but that went away with age. Now it seems I...

I haven't had a problem with getting sick to my stomach since I lowered my resolution. At first, I didn't know how to put in a custom res, as my desktop is at 1152x656. I just bought Far Cry and it detected it right out of the box, so I'm good on that too. I expect to get an actual computer monitor ...

Well, I didn't know how to put in a custom resolution, but found it off the link in the first reply (thanks!). My res is set at 1152x656 at the moment, and when I played HL2 in that last night, I didn't get sick once! But, I did feel a little crappy near the end of my game time but it didn't effect ...

That seems to make sense. It always seems that it hits me when I'm walking somewhere and I need to look over to the left or right to track something. Will messing with the FOV at my current resolution on a 47" tv really jack with the quality? Also, it made me sick on a 20" lcd that was capped at 800...

Started with me with HL2. I played through it when I still had a CRT, and did fine. But now, with any lcd and my hdtv, it makes me nauseous and dizzy. I play it at 1920x1080 right now and can't last for more than 10 minutes. My tv is forced to run at 60 mhz from what I can tell, as well. Anyone out ...

So, I've got Simcity 4 running on my hdtv, and the highest resolution available is 1600x1200. It runs in it fine, but it's just a small box on my tv (47" widescreen). Anyone out there know of a way to get it in widscreen?

Do you know of a setting on the actual monitor to change it? Maybe within the monitor's menu? I know my hdtv I'm using is at 60 and I get no lag. I wish I could be more help. :?

I think some games have to run in the resolution you're running windows in. My example: I have a 1080i capable tv. I can run HL2 in 1920x1080 w/ no problems, but with F.E.A.R., I have to run it in 1157x6xx (I can't remember exactly off hand what my res it at. It had to be at the exact resolution I'v...

Not that I'm an expert here, but it sounds like the screen is lagging, or isn't refreshing fast enough. Can you set that higher?

Dice is a crappy dev who produces crappy buggy games. Then, they take the stuff that works and ruin it for everyone because a minority within their game cry about how bad they get owned by good players.

Death to Dice and EA.

Nice. I'm moving this wednesday and I'll be using the monitor I've been using (stuck at max 800x600). So, I'll be hooking my pc up to my hdtv (max 1080i). I'll update to 1.08 before I move, losing internet access until I get it installed, so I have osmething to do for the 5 straight days I'll be of...

There are 2 22" widescreen monitors available for great prices on Black Friday. I am determined to buy one of them. One is the Samsung 225BW for $280. The other is the Westinghouse 22W2 for $200. Which would you go for? I have read the great user reviews for both here, but neither really gave me a ...
