You know, that's strange. I could have sworn i ran this in widescreen. I just edited that file and it must have some sort of crc protection because it defaulted back to 640x480. It was a long time ago i played this but still... my memory aint what it used to be. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

Actually, Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper was easy... just hex editing the graphics.cfg allowed any resolution. Didn't adjust the FOV but that would only be a bonus for me... I'm not as annoyed by fat/stubby graphics as some people are but it bothers the heck out of me not to be able to run in my native res.

Max in game resolution is 1920x1440. I've tried several things to customize the resolution but no go. Hex editing the save.dat proved fruitless... it seems it's encoded or encrypted because it produces different results each time. Both dx9 dll resolution hacks also caused crashes. Let's see if anyon...

Can you make one for DX8 games?

This one only works for DX9 programs...

There are many older games that i'd like to get native resolution support in.

Doesn't run at 2560x1600. It just crashes as soon as it starts.

2048x1536 works and is the highest standard resolution supported.

I've found the right hex address to enable widescreen resolutions. I did a search and found no pinball games listed... such a shame. The menus and starting screens are still low res but the actual game is full screen native. I didn't bother to search for the other values because i only care about th...

Tried to change the resolution in the registry to 2560x1600 and then found out the game will not start. It gives an error... i can't even see what it is... it's invisible and alt-tabbing doesn't make it show up. I then changed the resolution to 1920x1200 and the game starts just fine. A pity, i'd li...

The full game does not support widescreen, nore does it go above 1280x1024. actually it goes above 1280x1024. your system might just be fubared. and no, no single EA game supports REAL widescreen. the best you can ask is that it supports your native widescreen resolution and yes it'll be stretched....

please release a version of this utility that allows it to work in win2003. in 2003, you have to choose compatibility mode for the game to even start and thus the game won't work with this program unless it enables it which it doesn't currently.
