Hey All, Recently upgraded my monitors and am now running triple screens from the 258.96 NVIDIA BETA drivers. Runs perfect for games but I can't seem to get Aero enabled again (see through task bar, window previews, etc). I've tried reinstalling the drivers, running the AERO troubleshooter (finds no...

My highest level melee char is a Summoner build. I play a Mage Based Summoner with my wife and thought the skills would translate well to Melee so I made another one. I've focused all my stat points in STR and mainly use a Mace or Axe since I don't have much dex. I have Heart of Oak and Fire Enhance...

Titan Quest is heavily biased towards mages. The new patch (1.2) made things a bit easier for melee and toned down the power of the Spirit Ternion (spelling) attack. I started an Oracle when I first started playing but was just too easy, that's when I switched to Druid (not much better but wasn't as...

HL2 as in Deathmatch, or any of the HL2 variants (CS, DoD, etc)?

Oh good. I think I'll just miss out on that medal then. I prefer to take my time :) That map is seriously hard though. I'm going to give it another go now. I'm really digging the howitzer that you can build with the Engineers. Though I didn't realize when I built it that it couldn't be moved :P Had ...

Given the difficulty of some of the missions I was surprised how easy the Rocket map was as well. I setup a pretty decent defensive perimiter at the entrance and once captured the Axis never even came close to getting it back. From there I just grabbed all the mortars as I came across them and would...

Same here, Wife and I have both played since release and never had an issue with any of the patches. I have several characters but my highest level, 51, is a Druid. Specializes in Ice Shard spamming :) My wife and I play a pretty nice duo. She's an Spellbinder (Defense/Spirit) and I'm a Summoner (Na...

The HUD in Oblivion was the first mod I looked for. That thing was horrible. Blue, I am a Diablo freak (I have like 190 hours in Titan Quest recently, FYI I only know that because of XFIRE, I don't time myself :P) and I was always fond of Gothics fighting system. I guess it's just matter of opinion....

Yeah, the Camo'd sniper is a great tactic for finding out what you're getting into. I'm still on the Rocket Base map but only because I haven't had much time to play lately. My little girl has discovered her mobility so keeping up with her has been wearing Daddy out! :P

Blue, have you played the game already? Your last post made it sound like you have. I know it was already released in some countries. If so, what is it that you don't like? I've read the previews and I haven't read anything that would disuade me from playing. People commenting on the quirky combat s...

Yes, you cross the one bridge after taking out the large gun at the top of the map. I believe it's called Cherbough. I could be wrong though. I did finally make it past here and in doing so showed how limited my initial strategy was. I was attempting to just shove the Shermans down their throat and ...

I've hit a stalmate on Cherbough (spelling?). I took the entire left side with no problems. I've setup my base of operations and started to cross the bridge... When all hell broke loose! The Axis have quite the setup on the other side! I walked into mortars, AC and MG fire, not to mention two tanks ...

I loved Gothic 2 so I'll definitely be grabbing this one. Though I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me get another WS TV for downstairs (51 Hitachi has been sent to the basement! :P) so I might have to put this one on the XMAS list :) As for the game... I'm just hoping it's not as disapointing ...

On the Crossroads map I saved Dog company first, and then immediately pushed East and grabbed all the points before moving North to engage the Panzers. It seemed like if I didn't move any farther North from where Dog company was pinned that they didn't bust through as early. So when they did I was a...

The Pause command is located on the Pause/Break button on the keyboard. Not sure if you can remap it. I may plop in on the space bar for easier access.

I tend to prefer a slow advance and therefore Mortar teams fit right into my style of play. MG and Mortar are always the support of my advancing squads. They cover the fall back position and are the main defense for critical points. I played through the second part of Carentan last night. What a cra...

ctrlsteef, I had a similar setup for that incoming convoy as well. Was actually a nice touch though to the map since most of it was spent digging out the Germans to be able to use those bunkers against them. I unfortunately had blown up the AA gun in the main bunker so I couldn't utilize it but with...

Got this game a few days ago and have put in several long sessions already. I love the fact that tactics and position play a bigger roll than straight up fire power (though it does help). I also like having the ability to pick up weapons in the squad, completely changing the ability of that squad. G...

All time: 1) Ultima Online 2) Diablo 2 3) Quest for Glory 4) Baldurs Gate 2 5) Half Life The early years of Ultima Online will go down as some of the best times I've ever had playing a game. Eventually the game was ruined by strange gameplay changes and the splitting of the worlds (Trammel/Felucca)....

Thanks Ken. And I love the XTRAC mouse pads. This is my second as the first I wore out pretty quick.
I expect this one will suffer a similar fate as I go back and start dusting off some of the games on my HD for another play through, this time in Wide Screen :)
