It's an aspect ratio fix. Are you having trouble getting an EyeFinity mode enabled in the game? That's a different problem entirely. Nope, that worked, Greg, thanks. The game isn't setup for it, regarding the onscreen text and such, but at least it's playable and the correct aspect ratio with Eyefi...

Well, shoot, thanks, Greg. I looked at that a few hours ago, but I couldn't tell if that would let me use the Eyefinity rez or not. I'll give it a go.

Looks like I should have done my homework on this before purchasing the game.

Anyone aware of any potential fixes to get this to work for Eyefinity?

This is a fantastic question, and with the exception of extraordinarly limited resources at this time in economic history, there is little reason why ATI wouldn't eventually provide support for an operating system that Microsoft plans to support through August 2014. With all due respect to Vista and...

Just posting for the record, I was not able to get Eyefinity three screens running simultaneously with the cheap adapter from Monoprice. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5969&seq=1&format=2 I tested with 1920x1200 screens, and although doubtful, i...

Sideeffect's method is the only one that works for me at the moment. Disabling two screens, then initializing the group creating from the remaining screen.

Dude, is there a trick to getting the hotkeys to function, something that needs to be running? I have them setup and enabled (CTRL-Shift-Q and W for two different profiles). The profiles are preconfigured and hotkeys are bound to their respective key. Nothing happening when using the hotkeys, what p...

All I can tell you, is keep fooling with it. Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to make sure the USB portion of the adapter is plugged into a powered USB transformer that plugs directly into the wall. Keep rebooting the machine, switching cables on the three screens, and pray. Probably wouldn't hurt to...

Hi, alx, Okay, I bit the bullet (again), and picked up the Apple version of the adapter. I had previously purchased the mini-std cable a week ago or so anticipating this. Of course then I purchased the $30 dedicated plug for the USB adapter. So, $105 + $20 + $30. It took me about 4 hours last night ...

(regarding Eyefinity) Is ATI even pursuing this avenue for an adapter to provide some (or rather "any") kind of support for the thousands of us that already have (3) DVI screens on our desks (or more pertinent, for anyone that frequently purchases hardware from Newegg or TigerDirect here the US)? Or...

Well, Ben, Dell pulled their usual fast one on the customer when I ordered their adapter. Within a day after ordering, they send you the good old, "hey, we didn't know it, but we were actually out of these, and even though our website says they'll be ready to go in a few days, yours probably won't b...

You MUST have this adapter for those three screens to function with Eyefinity.

Of course it depends on the scenario, but in one particular simulation, Eyefinity has basically maxed out the capabilities of the remaining hardware. Even the 5850 cards in 3screen are seeing slowdowns due to CPU's that are only capable of 3 to 4 ghz. Depends on the game I suppose.

chineseleper, I sent them a message, regarding the Radeon 5000 series specifically. We'll see if their response has any indication of understanding/solving the issue. Some of these options aren't that expensive, and I may just take the hit and order one of each to test. Hopefully ATI and some of the...

If native support for more than two DVIs had been a requirement, I can tell you authoritatively EF would never have happened. What a lost oportunity that would have been! Okay, I give. I called Dell and ordered the adapter. We do appreciate the work involved in getting the 3-screen audience taken c...

I'm afraid my posts here are coming off markedly negative, and although I'm reasonably miffed at the decision making procedures and their consideration for backward compatibility in 3+ display environments, a company that's willing to plan that far ahead has some balls. In technology markets these d...

BH, I'm pretty sure that what we've really got going here is a commercial grade product, and the gaming community is more of a sideshow fringe income to simply help mature the technology into something more commercially attractive, a stepping stone if you will. Once you put it into perspective (wher...

... without incuring prohibitive costs ... What, like an adapter that costs 38% of the 5850 video card? Parhelia was terrible, no doubt, but it's been *7_years* for heaven's sake. That's like two lifetimes for AMD, (you know, the time it takes their stock to shoot for the stars, and then plu...
