Just starting Dragon Age and it looks fantastic. I'd need Risen on this list though. That game came out of nowhere and it's a great RPG. Pretty much zero technical bugs right out of the gate, which is an accomplishment in itself. If it weren't for the last chapter and ending, this game would be GOTY...

@yui, koawinter - I ended up finding a card at http://www.canadacomputers.com/. Their online stock numbers are pretty accurate and updated often. I just kept checking until I saw one come up. They have a large network of stores in Ontario, so I called them and they transferred the card to my city. I...

This is not easy, I have a copy or Dragon Age sitting on my desk.... ::uses slight of hand to steal Gecko's DAO DVD out of the box and repla...

I posted about this on HardForum as well. I bought a Spyder 3 Pro and calibrated the monitor. This made a HUGE difference, particularly with the Standard preset. A significant change. Also helped the RGB modes. Here are the results: 1. Standard mode - brightness and contrast are perfect. Blacks deep...

Just finished this game. Overall a great game, came out of nowhere and I was pleasantly surprised. Should be a nice warm-up for Dragon Age... The only thing about this game that kind of let me down was the ending and the final boss fight. Annoying you had to use those weapons and the jumping squares...

LP2475w apparently has the same tint issues as the U2410 - same LG panel. So while it may not have the dithering, it could have the tint thing. So not really keen to jump into that. I'm actually looking at a 26" Viewsonic at the moment. Looks interesting...no real info on the net, I'm guessing it is...

Thoughts? Thinking of a replacement/other option for the U2410. http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktop-monitors/lcd/pro-series/vp2655wb.htm Specs - The VP2655wb is one of ViewSonic’s new LCD Professional Series monitors that utilizes the power of true IPS panel technology. Featuring the best 118%...

Maybe I should go for a 3008wfp? It's on sale in Canada for $1500, could probably negotiate down a bit further, using my current situation as ammo.

I am getting an 5870, so res shouldn't be a problem.

Thoughts on this one?

Yep, we all jumped on the 'it's an IPS 24" under $1K' bandwagon and we got burnt, basically. I would definitely advise anyone reading this to wait for revision A01 at a minimum. I've got a few days left before the 30-day deadline to decide. I have my VX2025wm still, so that is an option. Might just ...

Tide has definitely turned. At first I think I wanted to accept the quirks since I was hyped about this panel (as I think many were, lol check out the CNET video review). However, it is plain starting to piss me off now. I had the film grain effect on in FEAR 2 as well. Then I turned it off and the ...

Ok, this monitor is annoying me now, officially. I am considering returning it for a refund. Was playing FEAR 2 in RGB mode and I noticed the dithering for the first time. It is very noticeable with the graphics set at high settings. Changing modes eliminates the issue, however the other presets hav...

got my 2nd replacement today, it was more red than the monitor it replaced and you can see a slight color shift in it also, but the way it shifts was not a strong gradient so after some color tweaking with the factory menu I have it matching up really well. I think I can stick with what I have now ...

Yeah a few hundred more than a cheap TN, but since a cheap TN is only like $200 that's over double the price. Can you notice some strange "spots" on your monitor. Drag a white window around your screen and see it change darker in certain spots? All 3 of mine do that and I have never had that on any...
