| This one is a bit of a reach but - you might want to make sure you're not starving the PSU by overloading the circuit. My Antec 750 draws a full 10A current at 115V, its power cord is rated for 13A! Not sure about Europe with 230V, but I'd assume your average circuit capacity is less current since y... |

| X-Warrior - I'll throw in my vote as well... Whenever a PC does weird, funky stuff like yours is, I've found it is almost always: 1) bad memory stick 2) faulty PS Any power supply can go at anytime (I just had a brand new Antec 750 blow on me for no apparent reason). Sometimes they go out gloriously... |

Computer is back up (yay!)
I hear you there. My power supply blew up on me the other day. Scared the pi$$ out of me, sounded like a gunshot, bright flash and all. Expensive new Antec 750 as well. I had 2 days left in the store's initial 90-day warranty, so they gave me a new one - sweet! |

I'm at the end in Dragon Age and need a break before all the end battles, which I am sure are going to be of the tedious, 'lower-all-your-lowerables' and then 'thrust-you-into-a-cutscene-before-you-can-save' variety. Fantastic game however, I've loved it. |

| Depends on the game, really. All the Unreal Engine games are fairly easy to mod. Same with the Quake games, as long as you've got a ZIP program. ;) Some old games were really hard to mod. :( Ok, just met Anna and Gunther. | Well, on the graphics front there has indeed been some incredible work done by the community (thanks for the tip Paradigm). In particular, the New Vision mod is incredible. It updates all (most anyway) of the textures and also Open GL. I've seen the screens and they're impressive. I'm downloading it... |

I just fired it up, it looks so retro, lol. The colors were whacked at first and I thought 'great, too old for my vid card/drivers to recognize' but the colors were set to 16-bit... :oops:
Set to 32 the game looks decadetastic!
Just starting to play...will report back from UNATCO later... |

Done, downloading on Steam now. Thanks Paradigm. I've seen it mentioned so many times here that I figure I should check it out. What with the excellent taste the enlightended members of this most excellent forum continually exhibit and all. :wink:
