This game has the worst FOV I have seen in a long time, or at least it feels like it does. I am not someone who usually complains about FOV but I can barely play this game it's so bad. |

Shooters: 8-10 hours
RPGs: 40-60 hours
That's my baseline... if a shooter lasts more than 10-12 hours I definitely get antsy for it to be over with, Doom 3 being one that instantly comes to mind. |

I didn't even know about Machinarium until Ryom's post.
You really must not pay attention anymore, it got a lot of press. |

Many, if not most, major games these days require online activation. This renders hardcopy versus digital moot as far as "owning" a game goes. Not necessarily, there is a case to be made that you have more legal protection with a store-bought physical disc than a download if you choose to violate t... |

Like others have said the writing is alot better, although i still don't think the voice acting is amazing, most likely a engine problem? Not as fluent as say mass effect. Having messed around with the GECK I can say the engine definitely limits how the dialogue works and the flow of it. I find the... |

Har no end for you PC noobz.
I wish I played these games back in the day but I did not. I'm pretty sure I was so obsessed with isometric RPGs at the time that nothing else existed. |

For me, the defining feature of Fallout's greatness was the freedom, and the sense that your decisions had a meaningful impact on the world, and to a lesser extent, how your character is perceived by others. Not surprisingly, Fallout 3 pretty much totally lacked any of that - there was Megaton, and... |

It certainly is more of a sequel to Fallout 2 than Fallout 3 was... I kind of feel like it takes the best parts of those two games and shoves them together. I find the game to be brilliant, personally.

We are all against getting a multiplayer ban for cheating in singleplayer. Well, if Blizzard say they can't tell whether your hack was used only for singleplayer or not I can't really scream at them for disabling multiplayer with any kind of cheat program detected while you're signed-in to battle.n... |

I liked FEAR 2, and they listened to the community and patched in non-16:9 support very quickly... win-win in my book. Some games like Assassin's Creed 1/2 and Mirror's Edge never got patched for that issue. As for it happening again I am sure it will, pretty sure it does relatively often and you mu... |

Is someone defending that? I seem to be the only one in this topic defending Blizzard for doing anything at all, and I definitely do not approve of banning people from singleplayer mode. Permanently disabling achievements and other meta-rewards seems like a pretty good idea, though. Not here, but m... |

Just a note that if you get massive fps drops when more than a couple NPCs are around this is a known issue with facial animation. Turning off NPC emotions is a fix for now, using the console command "ToggleEmotions." Made the game work fine for me after several hours of it dipping down to 10fps whe... |

I don't really care what happens to multiplayer cheaters, but as said calling it copyright infringement sets a terrible precedent on top of one they already set with those WoW hacks they sued over. That sucker is still in appeal waiting for a common sense judge. And as much as it seems related to th... |

Apparently it requires Steam. And it comes with a DLC code. Ignore the codes, they just give you unbalanced items early in the game. Game is good... Steam integration is annoying and pointless for a singleplayer game, but I've given up debating that issue with people. I wanted it to be Fallout 3 wi... |

Well Halo was 2001... give it 2 years and we're talking 2003. I guess there were still some high profile PC only FPS games in 2003 but I can't really recall specifics. FEAR was 2005. Anyway it's a combination... I'm pretty sure I said that. Controls got good enough, piracy increased on PC, Xbox 360 ... |

I like Blizzard's official response of "no we don't do this" followed immediately by "well yes we do actually." If you ban people for using any hack because it could be used in multiplayer, even if it isn't, then you are banning people for singleplayer cheats. That's common sense. http://www.shackne... |

There's a bit of transition time you know cranky, it's not like the day after Halo everything changes. For one thing the Xbox wasn't as popular as the PS2 until the Xbox 360 blew out of the gate, and for another it just takes time for people to adjust. When you think about it there really is no reas... |
