| Above the keyboard it's glass, and the black is wood covered in a grippy soft black material. If you had teflon mouse skates, you might be able to use it as a mouse pad. |

| Here's the link for the desk. The monitor shelf is part of the desk. This is where I bought it from MM69500. It's a great desk and their shipping is pretty good. It was easy to assemble and it's rock solid. |

| Finally took the pictures. I love my widescreen. Everything looks good on it. I've read everywhere that gaming is the only drawback, but it's my favorite thing about having widescreen.
