@OP
EULA, too.
I don't trust EA after trying to legitimize installing a rootkit on my machine.
And I don't trust them not doing it again in the near future.
That sadly means I'll have to pass on Mass Effect 3. Passing on Dragon Age 3 is easy, given how abysmal DA2 turned out. |

Those of you using the inexpensive adapter for an eyefinity setup probably encountered the problem: your displayport monitor sometimes switches to 640x480 resolution, breaking the eyefinity display group. no possibility of resetting the resolution. Something that worked for me: physically disconnect... |

This adapter allows you to connect a third display to your eyefinity graphics card without requiring you to buy an expensive active displayport adapter cable (>$100). One source for this particular adapter is here: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330379051140 For reference I scanne... |

Took some time but I got my problems sorted out. I had occasional problems with the analog monitor not being recognized after changing the catalyst setup. Had only 640x480 on the vga display for a time. I solved it by swapping one display for the other, starting the detection process from scratch (a... |

Hey, I just got my adapter, too! IT WORKS!! I got it from ebay (retailer sits in hongkong) for about €13 and he shipped it to germany without shipping fee: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330379051140 PS: I'm using it with a Radeon HD 5850 and three 19'' DVI/VGA displays from Views... |

Don't get your hopes up. It looks like the developers are intentionally boycotting surround gaming (and widescreen resolutions) because it apparently gives an unfair advantage to players with better hardware. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/02/11/dont_buy_global_agenda_editorial I'd understand t... |

A bit offtopic but useful and not widely known: You can even make HD-Playlists ! First you have to have a playlist, of course. But youtube only displays then in low quality. And even if you hit the HD button, the next video will be LQ again. However, if you add a &hd=1 to the url in the embed code, ... |

instead of changing the FOV you can simply change the Terminal zoom.
fRenderedTerminalZoom=72
I'm playing with the scanlines-setting. if that helps improving readability i'll post it. |

I just noticed that the latest expansion didn't have a solution yet, so I added one for the expansion and one for the best civ mod ever: Fall from Heaven Step 1: Backup the originals. Really, I mean it. Step 2: Edit Beyond the Sword files. I'll just put the changes here. Replace the original element... |

yeah, you can edit the CIV4DetailManager.xml (all of them - there's one for the main game and one for each expansion) like this: <Fader> <Name>CAMERA_MAX_DISTANCE_FADER </Name> <!-- <Value>0.75</Value> --> <Va... |

akatei is correct ... Changing the FOV should remove the Vert -
no, he isn't.
fov get's you more horizontal scope, true, but do not get to see whats cropped due to the vert- .
you basically get a triple zoom ... and thats unplayable if you're inside buildings. |

Hi,
I managed to change the resolution by changing the .SystemPostal2.ini , but it's cropping vertical instead of enlarging horizontal, which isn't very playable.
does anyone have an idea how to change that?
thanks! |

Enjoy a REALLY far out zoom: open the config.wtf file located in the WTF folder. Find the entries for cameraDistance and replace them with SET cameraDistanceA "50.000000" SET cameraDistanceB "100.000000" SET cameraDistanceC "200" SET cameraDistan... |

Since the latest patch efficiently eliminated the mod we need a a small workaround:
Open the file %path%World of WarcraftWTFConfig.wtf
Find the line
SET cameraDistanceMaxFactor "2"
an change it to
SET cameraDistanceMaxFactor "5".
Now you got your maximum possible zoom back. |

Any idea how to set the aspect ratio to surround values ?
I know the basic stuff (see http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/ but since you're limited to the preconfigured aspect ratios (4:3 16:9 16:10) everything looks pretty warped. |
