So for games that are for both platforms, since they have different aspect ratios, how are most of the games handling that? Anamorphic? Hor- or Vert+ on iPad versions? goddammit I hate when reports get so messy and the clear solution is spread across several posts. do I need to edit the "assumed" thing in default.ini as well for proper widescreen gameplay? was this missed in the OP? the op talks about changing the FOV based on 85, and on 90 What does the game use ... |

There seems to be some kind of mouse accel/ lag going on in Riddick Dark Athena.
It's worse the higher the resolution.
Vertical Sync is off, and I'm not sure what else to try or what's causing it.
Pretty annoying as everything feels really floaty |

so is one game's FOV not equal to other games' FOV?
like 55 in this game would not have the same FOV as 55 in say, UTIII ?
cuz that's a really low number, but it doesn't seem THAT extremely narrow. |

"pretty much" because that definition doesn't include what we often use it for - in that it's also the designed or intended AR/FOV. I was playing a training match with bots and the FOV slider had no effect in-game...
I'm not actually trying to change anything. Originally I just wanted to know what behaviour it had, and now I'm curious about some of these options and such. |

Well.. if a console game is vert-, what can be done about it? Ensure users are educated about what's the baseline intended FOV, and to not run at an aspect that'll subtract from it. ie, don't assume it'll look better or you'll see more if there's a widescreen option. That would be the point of such... |

The point is they designed the game around what you end up seeing at 16:9, no matter how they chose to get there. Around what you end up seeing pre-patch, or post-patch?
