Open up the Battlefield2 shortcut Rightclick /properties
on target type a space at the end then add +szx 1920 +szy 1200 after the space, of course substitute your custom rez in place of mine

looks beautiful on my dell 2405


That doesn't fix the FOV, which is what the problem is.

The game is absolutely outstanding when playing it at 1680 by 1050. The only thing you need to do is modifying the "options.ini" file under the "run" folder, and that´s it. PS. Sorry if I´ve started another topic, but I tried to find it and I didn´t, therefore I decided to start a new one....

Some games do, some do not. I would suggest you look at the examples that we have in the screenshots section. Just a few examples... I don't know about recent games, but that was a pretty common tactic Quake 3 players used. They'd play with a wide view on a normal 4:3 monitor. That was a few years back tho.
