Thats awesome, i wonder if my PC will cope at maxed out settings? (keeping in mind that we really only need 25-30fps as its an rpg).

Speak for yourself, I need 40fps+ to be comfortable in any game.

It definatly supports widescreen, I've seen a picture of a developer playing the PC version on a big widescreen monitor. Hopefully they get the FOV right as well. Even if they don't I imagine it won't be hard to mod the FOV.

Cabezone, Maybe it is my screen but with the WS I see "but you lose the top" - I agree "and bottem." - I actually see more "You're seeing less of the world" - I see more width (a little hillock beside the mountain on the right side. If you look at the size of the bricks on the bottom, you'll notice...

I'd call this a perfect example of doing widescreen wrong. I don't knw what you guys are seeing, it keeps the same FOV as 4:3, but you lose the top and bottem. You're seeing less of the world, you're better off with 4:3, rather than that badly implemented widescreen.

Sneaking past the guards I found to be the trickiest and most annoying part of the game. I spent ages first time trying all sorts of methods, in the end I think it's just down to timing and a bit of luck. I hid behind the big rock in the corner, waited for the three guards to go past. Two of them g...

This is a big bump since I found it using a search and there is no point in creating another thread. First of all, hi :) I got myself a Dell 2405W thanks to maherie's deal not long ago. I've spent over a week enjoying it but I've not really tried gaming with it yet. I had a look at NWN's resolution...

I ran a bench on my system for you at that monitor native resolution. I have a system similar to the one you getting. Mine is X2 4400+ 2GB ram and SLI 7800GTX. I only used one card for the benchmark. Everything was on high except soft shadows were off. No AA but 8xAF, you can expect about a 20% drop...

Yeah that works too. But if you dont want to download the tool it is quite easy to get widescreen working in Earth 2160 without the tool. Find the following in the windows registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREReality PumpEarth2160graphics Edit the key: Only4x3Modes and set it to 0 decimal value And n...

[quote]Gravelayer, Go back up this topic a ways and click on the Doom3 link that was posted for the widescreen solution. Quake 4 and Doom 3 have the same game engine so the widescreen fix works. I also have a Dell 2405 FPW and I am playing Quake 4 in 1920 x 1200 with an FOV of 100. Works great. All...

It is normal. Most games' default FOV is like that, and if you change it then things in the center don't look right..

Dude it is not normal in any way. None of the other widescreen games I've played have any distortion at the edges.

Small update. The multiplayer sucks ass. Everyone has to stay in the same screen, even over the net, just like you're all playing on the same TV. The game pauses when messing with inventory or stats, and only one person at a time can adjust inventory, making the problem worse. The pausing problem is...

Does anyone else have annoying texture corruption streaking across the bottom of the screen sometimes? It only seems to do it in some areas, as it doesn't do it while in the Guild, only while running around the nearby town. The readme says that there is texture corruption issues on certain resoluti...

Well this fine game has native widescreen support. Correct FOV and everything. It also is Co-op all the way through with up to four people either over the net, or hotseat if you have enough controllers. Oddly enough it has no LAN support.

It's sort of like Diablo with X-Men, only less loot.

I feel the same way about framrates, I can't stand it when it drops below 60. I've only got an A64 3200+ with an x800xtpe and the framrates remain consitantly high at 1920x1200 no AA but 8x AF. I can't remember them dropping anywhere except in Ogrimmar, or places where large numbers of people gather...
