My only beef so far is them adding HL2, which all of us buying the expansions already have, and jacking up the price to that of a full length installment. I've seen it advertised at Circuit City for $38 and it's sold out, but my inclination is I'd rather not pay more than $25-$30 for an expansion. ...

personally, if i had to have 1, i would go desktop - and ditch the htpc case.

and i would steer WAY clear of the inspirons. nothing but hassle. if you want a Dell laptop - go latitude or forget it. i've had both. i gave my inspiron away. free.

I use a thumball mouse for gaming - no pad for me, no tired arms, etc. Not for everyone though. I used to thumball too ... swore by it for years ... untill i was forced to get a new keyboard last year, and decided to go wireless. (it was complicated, involved my then 5-year old nephew and a bottle ...

nice one. i have found in my travels that just about any time you get strange errors that can not be attributed to anything else, the psu is usually to blame. when i started the first incarnation of my gaming box back in 2000, i spent an ungodly (at the time) $150 on my 431w Enermax .... and it is s...

i loaded the 5.6's without thinking about it. game wouldnt load. saved pref folder out of my doc's - reinstalled game. no go. rolled back drivers, and it worked. i guess that it just doesnt like the 5.6/9600 combo. and as for the heat haze - i think it's supposed to be there. it's only apparent from...

i use the mouse&trackball on foot and in car - and use my 2 stick gamepad (interact axispad ps2 clone) for bikes, motorcycles, planes and helo's - tends to work great for me. using a trackball eliminates the mouse steer problem and still gives you easy handbrake. on the graphics front - i went into ...

it's not the same as III and VC - the widescreen button in the options doesnt work quite the same. running it at 1280x768@32 on my 9600pro: first, i maxxed everything but AA, and hit widescreen. choppy graphics with limiter on or off. second, i left the widescreen button on, and lowered the draw dis...

i usually do a 105 or 110 depending on the game. but my screen isnt strictly 16:10, it's more like 15:9 ... but just use what you are comfortable with. like fish-eye? crank it to 135 or 140. like it really tunnel-y? try 75-80.

1. ditch norton. quick. go to the library and download avg or avast - both are free, and many times better than norton or the other expensive ones. 2. get more ram. i repeat - get more ram. no self-respecting computer should have less than 2x256mb. personally i run 2x512mb. just about right for a 30...

gamecopyworld is ok, IF you use firefox, and let it block popup ads.

believe it or not, it's probably the least dodgy site for cracked exe's and trainers out there.

Hi, I've updated NFSU2 using the latest updater on ea.com and then replaced the stock speed2.exe with a fixed version. I then followed the instructions to change the res to 848x480. The game loads up fine in 1024x768 but when it switches to 848x480 the game crashes. I reinstalled the original patch...
