Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US, and a happy holiday season to everyone else around the world.
Steam Sale Giveaway
Another way we're celebrating Thanksgiving is to repeat our giveaways from last year. The Thanksgiving weekend brings amazing sales on Steam, often at huge discounts and with multi-pack offers. To get in on the action, all you've got to do is:
- Join the WSGF Group on Steam - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/wsgf
- Add Ibrin to your Friends List (without this step I can't see your Wish List) - http://steamcommunity.com/id/ibrin/
- Update Your Wish List (So I know what you want)
- Hang out in the WSGF IRC Chat - irc://wsgf.mine.nu:32256/wsgf (in Firefox this opens the IRC channel directly, using Mibbit)
Donation Drive
The last few weeks have been very busy for our volunteer coders. Folks such as HaYDeN and Helifax have been working diligently on fixing the broken menus and HUD elements in Skyrim, and dopefish has provided Eyefinity/Surround solutions for LA Noire and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
To show our thankfulness, we are giving donations to our team of community coders for all of their tireless work. Donating is easy through PayPal, using the ChipIn widget we have on the site.

Do you see more or less in Eyefinity? Is the HUD stretched? Are the menus broken? How about the cut-scenes? Is there a solution to fix any issues? Our Detailed Reports ensure that you never have to wonder how a game will perform on your system.
Since our last newsletter we've had seven new Detailed Reports created. Of them, Serious Same, Saints Row and F1 2010 received Gold Certification.
Reviews
I have been able to review my second APU platform from AMD. My previous review was on the E-350, which was targeted at ultra notebooks. The new reviews is for the A8-3850 APU, which is targeted at the Mainstream market segment.
Before you jump into your Black Friday shopping madness, see if either of these combination CPU/GPU platforms will meet your gaming needs.
