A Potential Solution for Active DP Adapter Flickering in Eyefinity

Delphium has been doing some work on solving his DP flickering issues. He found that powering the Active DP Adapter with his HTC cellphone charger SOLVED THE FLICKERING.

Even though the adapter was rated to use 400mA, it flickered with even 900mA on a USB 3.0 socket. Pushing to 1A of current solved the problem. He made a USB Y cable (complete with multi-meter points), and it solved his flickering as well. I noted that the iPad wall adapter provides 1.2A, and it might serve as a solution as well (the iPad is known not to charge on "low-power" USB ports).

He has a few Y cables he's willing to send to folks in the UK, and I'm willing to pay if some folks in the US would like to test as well.
