News has been ricocheting around the pipes of the internet today with details of Microsoft's next desktop operating system: Windows 8. Or so you think! In fact, Microsoft are trying to push this as more than just for desktops this time around, as they try and expand the capabilities of their touch screen features to try and keep pace with a market saturated with glossy screens and thumb smudges.
One of the things I love most about the WSGF is our community (i.e., our members). People are welcoming, helpful and friendly, and we are known as an inviting community. Behind the scenes there is a core group of people (our Insiders and Editors) that stay in contact and game together from time-to-time. However, one of the things I would like to see more of is a more active gaming community within our membership at large. To that end, we're launching a number of activities to help bring WSGF members together.
I would like to thank everyone from WSGF who very kindly donated towards the site upgrade and managed to raise over a staggering $1400!
The upgrades unsurprisingly took a bit longer than was originally expected, with myself working long hours over many months to achieve the setup and design that we now see today.
This however could not have been done in the timely manner that it took without the assistance from a committed group of core members who aided in the data migration and bug finding.
