Peerless SA750 Universal Articulating Wall Arm Review

One of the great things about running the WSGF is getting exposure to great products and companies. Our friends over at Mounted Concepts asked if I would like to take a look at a wall mount for an HDTV. This was great timing, as I was moving from a 37" LCD HDTV, to a 40" LED HDTV. While this may not seem like a consequential change (both TVs are the same height, width and weight), the larger panel moves up to a 400mm VESA pattern and rendered my previous mount insufficient.

Anyone who's been visiting the site will know, I'm a big fan of monitor stands and wall mounts. In perusing the online catalog, I came across the Peerless line of wall mounts. Based on the size and weight of my new LCD HDTV, I ended up settling on the Peerless SA750 Universal Articulating Wall Arm.

RAGE is a first-person shooter game by id Software. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world somewhat similar to the movie Mad Max 2 and that of other popular video games such as Fallout. You play as a survivor of the 2029 Apophis meteorite impact who has just awoken from an Ark (a world-wide movement which took scientists and other significant people, and froze them underground in cryo-pods so they could rebuild Earth).

AMD Catalyst Rage Performance Driver - updated

AMD just released a driver they call "Rage Performance Driver" for the new Rage game. According to Rage3d.com, this driver is different from the 11.10 preview and doesn't contain the Battlefield 3 fixes.

AMD Bulldozer FX CPUs dated: October 12th.

PC Perspective have gotten leaks from Microcenter regarding the long awaited release of Bulldozer. The Bulldozer is said to be launched under the good, old FX brand, which was top of the line CPU for gaming in its old days. October 12th is the date to mark your calenders. According to the article on PC Perspective, it would be wise to update your bios if you have an AM3+ motherboard and plan to upgrade your CPU.

AMD has released the Catalyst 11.9 Driver update with the following key features:

Enables AMD HD 3D technology support on DisplayPort panels, such as the Samsung 750 and 950 series 3D displays.
Fixed various forms of hanging in the following titles: COD - Black Ops, F1 2010, Dungeon Siege 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Borderlands, Dead Rising 2, Serious Sam 2, Resident Evil 5, HAWX 2
Fixed CrossFire scaling for EarthSim 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Metro 2033 and HAWX
