Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues
Fix available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there).
The game is rendered only in 16:9 in native Anamorphic. To unlock different aspect ratios based on the resolution, download Brandondorf9999's fixed exe, the FWS script or the cheat engine table. If you are using the cheat engine table, load it on Cheat Engine, then attach the process "slw.exe" and press Shift+P to enable the fix. This will automatically set the aspect ratio and the HUD based on the resolution settings. The table will also let you adjust the FOV after enabling the resolution fix. If it does not take effect after pressing the keys, put an X next to "Resolution Fix". Remember to leave all boxes in the "Resolution fix" section enabled otherwise you won't have a perfect widescreen fix.
For the FOV adjustment, the hotkeys will adjust it in these effects:
Shift+9 - Decrease FOV
Shift+0 - Increase FOV
Ctrl+Shift+0 - Reset FOV back to default value
The default FOV multiplier is 1. Alternatively, download Brandondorf9999's fixed exe to change the default FOV multiplier. To do so, open slw.exe and then change 00 00 80 3F at offset 1333EA to a lower value.
Ultra/Super-Wide (21:9/32:9) Specific Solution & Issues
The Game offers all resolutions but only 16:9 aspect ratio - you need to HEX edit to get it HOR+.
HEX edit aspect ratio: Go to --> ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic Lost World\slw.exe
Go to OFFSET 955330 look for 39 8E E3 3F and change it to CD 90 18 40
Go to OFFSET AB1400 look for C7 71 FC 3F and change it to 00 18 03 40
Alternatively, use the Attachment: Sonic Lost World - Widescreen.7z or Sonic Lost World - Widescreen (BR9 Fix).7z or use Brandondorf9999's cheat engine table. Using Brandondorf9999's fixed exe will set the aspect ratio based on the resolution settings.
Note: Do not use the cheat engine solution if you are using Brandondorf9999's fixed exe or it will ruin the aspect ratio fix.
Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues
Same Solution as in Ultra-Widescreen:
Go to OFFSET 955330 look for 39 8E E3 3F and change it to AB AA AA 40
Go to OFFSET AB1400 look for C7 71 FC 3F and change it to 00 50 15 40
Alternatively, use the Attachment: Sonic Lost World - Widescreen.7z or Sonic Lost World - Widescreen (BR9 Fix).7z or use Brandondorf9999's cheat engine table. Using Brandondorf9999's fixed exe will set the aspect ratio based on the resolution settings.
