Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues
Widescreen is native and extends when you resize the window especially when going into full-screen mode. The vertical FOV is hackable as it requires the cheat engine table to be used. After you've downloaded the files available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there)., install "Cheat Engine", attach "Template.exe" to it and press "Shift+P". The default screen change mode is vert+ (16:9) which can be rearranged by double clicking on the name next to "Screen Change Mode" and selecting other options in the box.
Optional FOV:
To get higher FOV, change the value multiplier to your float value next to "Field of View" in the table or use the keys "Shift+0" (to increase the FOV), "Shift+9" (to decrease it) and "Ctrl+Shift+0" to reset it back to it's default value.
Notes: The default multiplier is 1 and it is recommended to stay within the range from 1 to 2 as it will make the HUD illegible to read when the angle is higher than 2 unless you are adjusting the FOV to provide more view with more monitors between three monitors on the top and bottom.
