Death Rally (2012)

The "revised remake" of the 1996 top-down racer was a huge hit on iOS. Although developed by Remedy, it shares so little DNA with its classic ancestor that it was met with a cold shoulder on our platform of choice.

Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues

Native Hor+ support. Resolution can be changed at any time. Settings are stored in %PROGRAMDATA%\Remedy\Death Rally\1.0\Profiles\Config.dat

"Windowed mode" is partially tied to the display's native resolution and does not really work as expected.

Ultra/Super-Wide (21:9/32:9) Specific Solution & Issues

Flawless Widescreen. Out of the box, 3D graphics are off-centered in aspects wider than 16:9.

Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues

Flawless Widescreen. The start screen remains broken: on first run, when the About & Credits buttons are visible press Enter twice (once to select save slot, once to confirm player name).
