I'd like to know where you came up with that number for FPS...that is exactly both of my children's social security numbers in order of birth. The Police are on their way to your house as we speak. I'll be watchin' you watchin you. Do not leave, do not attempt to run. Resistance is futile.

On another note, MyrddinEmrys... have you got Welsh connections? You appear to have a welsh name :)

This thread takes on a new twist.

"43281749812489724fps" happened to be the encrypted entry code for gate 4 of Area51 in the nevada desert -- around the time some important alien artifacts went missing. The NSA, FBI and other Government institutions with no name will be contacting you with the next 12hours to conduct an investigation.

I told you they'd find out eventually.

Kenshi, yeah, a X1900XT should let you play Oblivion without any problems. Maybe you'll need to turn a few badly-coded settings down a bit (such as bushes and flowers - they totally kill your framerates), but it'll still look great.

I've got a GeForce 6800GT and the game's choppy at 1680*1050, but just-about playable.

I acntually founded that turning those up made the game run snoother for me. I think the framerates dropped a little though, but it was less choppy.

That's something I've experienced. Smoother gameplay with settings higher, but lower framerate. It's a balance. As long as I can keep fps above 25, I'm happy. Oblivion is still very playable at 25fps...

Oh man my spelling was terrible on that post :)

Blatently, 9:36am is too early for me to make sense!

But yeah, id rather a consistant framerate (even if its not always super fast) than a high framerate followed by choppiness.
