here your looking at 15000-16000 SEK for say a Sony 40" W5500 set.
and then like 19000 for the 40" LED lit samsung. Its going on a bedroom wall, so having it hang of half of the sony's thickness (before you add the wall bracket) is gonna be really nice.
the only slight thing thats annoying me (thinking of the future) aparently the TV has mpeg4 decoding for both DVB-T and DVB-C (Terestrial Aerial and Cable). However, you cant get HD Cable services with it, only mpeg2 ones. And where we are atm is an "old" apartment with cable only afaik. So looks like we either need to get another box or whatever.
I used to work in england (before moving here) selling and installing all sorts of TV's, the samsungs seemed a bit slow and clunky when changing channels sometimes, guess ill need to get used to that as the sony LED screens are well out of price range here (like 24000 SEK).
Slightly annoying that you still need a seperate box, remote control and cabling if you want HD in a HD capable set. Seems silly why you cant just pay extra for the bits to already be inside (whatever licence fees are needed etc).
