So ever since the move to Windows 7 in June I've had an issue with gaming (fullscreen) at anything other than 3840x1024 (my max resolution). Whenever I tried gaming at a single screen resolution for a game that didn't support triplehead (or if I had just installed it) the game would start and then minimize itself. Maximizing again would just repeat this cycle.
Now ever since the move to Windows 7 I've been using DisplayFusion to emulate taskbars on the side monitors since Ultramon didn't support Windows 7 at the time.
I thought this issue was because of Windows 7 so I didn't try to do anything about it. But yesterday I uninstalled DisplayFusion and the problem was completely gone!
So if you are using DisplayFusion and having this problem, you may want to try uninstalling it for a bit. See if it works for you.
